
Mrs. Daniel was born and grew up in Littleton, West Virginia and lived most of her adult life in Rome, GA. For the last 11 years she resided in Loganville, GA, at Southern Plantation Assisted Living. After high school she worked for the FBI in Washington, DC, during World War II. She moved to Charleston, WV, to work for the state, and there met her husband where he was stationed with the U. S. Navy during World War II. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rome.
She is survived by her two children; daughter, Judith Hood (Donald Hood, son-in-law) of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Billy Joe Daniel, Jr. (Ann Daniel, daughter-in-law), of Calhoun, GA; three grandchildren, Richard Hood, Lynn Jackson and Kate Terry; three great grandchildren, Rance and Lyssah Hood and Callie Grace Terry; one sister, Doris Harris, of Charleston, WV and sister-in-law, Bettie Sue Daniel, Rome. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe “Bill” Daniel, Sr., parents Nellie and Presley Church, and sister, Betty Watters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Lund officiating. Interment followed in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, from 10 until 11 a.m.
