
Mr. Hopkins was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, on June 13, 1977, the son of Gregory James Hopkins and Shelley Milam Hopkins. He was a 1995 graduate of Darlington School and received an economics degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2000. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Millsaps in 2001 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Mercer University in 2004.
Mr. Hopkins was employed at Athens Manufacturing as plant manager. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Irene Hopkins, and his maternal grandparents, Wilma Milam and R. H. Milam.
He is survived by two sons, Fields Gregory Hopkins and Kemper Corbin Hopkins, both of Birmingham, AL; his fiancée, Marion Griffin, and her two sons, Forest Cook and Gus Cook, Decatur, AL; his parents, Greg and Shelley Hopkins, Rome; two sisters, Brooke Sumner (Aaron), and their children, Hudson Sumner, Chandler Sumner and Ethan Sumner, Rome, and Heather McGurk (Tom), and their children, Connor McGurk and Madelyn McGurk; his paternal grandfather, K. C. Hopkins, Silver Creek; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.
A private graveside service was held with The Rev. Janice Bracken Wright officiating.

The Keith Hopkins Scholarship Fund has been set up by the Hopkins family and by World Energy for the benefit of Keith's two young children.
