
Mrs. Carney was born on August 7, 1917, the daughter of the late Comer A. Allen and Callie Dyer Allen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Willis, who died in World War II, her second husband, the Rev. R. V. Wilson, who died in 1967, and her third husband, Ernest Carney, who died in 2001. She was also preceded in death by a son, Allen Lee Wilson, in 1995, and by her sisters, Bonnie Allen, Pauline Hefner and Eunice Allen.
Mrs. Carney was in the real estate business for many years and also served as regional manager for a jewelry company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of Transfiguration Episcopal Church.
She is survived by one son, Don Wilson, and his wife, Mary Louise, Roswell; three grandchildren, Carisa Wilson Koury, and her husband, Brad, Miami, FL, Allen Wilson, Los Angeles, CA, and Aaron Wilson, and his wife, Hollie, Rome; five great grandchildren, Calvin Koury, Brandon Koury, Alyssa Koury and Alexa Koury, all of Miami, and Gavin Wilson, Rome; a daughter-in-law, Susan Pilcher Wilson; and a nephew, Al Hefner, Jr., and his wife, Lana, Beaufort, SC.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Joel Snider officiating. A private nterment will be in Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs on Saturday.
The family will receive friends on Friday before the service from 2 until 3 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church.
