
Mr. Trueblood was born in High Point, N.C. April 21, 1924. He was the son of the late Paul Raymond Trueblood, Sr. and Donna Conley Trueblood. He was also preceded in death by one brother; Paul Raymond Trueblood, Jr. He graduated from Clemson University in 1949 with a B.S in textile engineering. He was a Naval Aviator during WWll serving our country with four years of active duty and ten years of inactive duty. He and his wife are members of First Presbyterian Church, Rome.
Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Elizabeth Young Trueblood, of Rome, to whom he was married for 68 years, two daughters; Linda Trueblood Sturdivant of Rome, Susan Trueblood Robinson of Rome and two grandchildren; Robert Wills Sturdivant, lll (Genise) of Rome, and Elizabeth Anne Sturdivant of Atlanta.
His family describes him as a perfect husband, father and grandfather as well as the epitome of a southern gentleman, a gentle man, and a man of great integrity and character. The family has planned a private memorial service.
