Lynn Elizabeth Knight

Ms. Knight was born in Lindale, GA. April 2, 1938, daughter of the late Seth L. “Jack” Knight and the late Ann Pitner Knight. Ms. Knight attended Pepperell High School and graduated from Rome High in 1956. She attended the University of Alabama and graduated from the University of Chattanooga. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She began her career as a reservationist with Delta Air Lines in Atlanta. She moved to San Francisco for 41 years where she became a stockbroker. She was a member of Lake Oconee Community Church during her 9 years living at the Reynolds Plantation, a golf community near Greensboro, GA, and was a member of Bethel Christian Church in San Francisco. She had a passion for serving on mission boards of each. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, reminiscing about the good times in Lindale, skiing, golf, travel, and college football. Her warmth, kindness and love of life were an inspiration to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Seth L. “Pistol” Knight, Jr. of Rome. She is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Ford Knight, nephews Seth Leldon Knight, III and his wife Lucy Fay Knight, Jack Knight and his wife Nancy McRae Knight, one niece Elizabeth Knight McClary and her husband Salters. Nine great nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are planned in Jqanuary and will be announced after the first of the New Year by Daniel’s Funeral Home.
