Marie Spivey Jones

Marie S. Little Jones, 86, of Macon and Cave Spring, GA, passed away February 16, 2014, in Rome, GA. Funeral services were Friday, February 21, 2014, 2:00 PM at Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA. Visitation was at 1:00 PM prior to the service with interment at Riverside Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Anthony Sunday School class members.

Marie was born July 19, 1927, and is preceded in death by husbands Hugh McNatt Price of Vidalia, GA, and George B. Little of Macon, GA. She is survived by her husband Herbert C. Jones of Cave Spring, GA, her sister Merle S. Dennis of Vidalia, GA, her daughters Linda Price Brown (William) of Columbus, GA, and Mary Louise Price Wilson (Don) of Roswell, GA, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.

Marie Jones retired from New York Life in Macon. She loved to travel in her RV with her motor home clubs: Georgia Winnie Rebels and Georgia Sta-Goners. She shared her smile with everyone she met and loved family gatherings, especially when her daughters played piano duets for her. She served as president of the Sta-Goners, Kiwanis Ladies Auxilliary, Mac Anthony S.S. class, and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Daughters of the Nile.
