
Mr. Dumas was born in Stillwater, OK on October 4, 1946, son of the late Melvin Oscar Dumas and the late Helen Lorene Dumas. Mr. Dumas was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for a number of years as a heavy civil construction superintendent across the United States.
Survivors include his wife; Diana Dumas, daughter; Tara Dumas of Liverpool, England, daughter; Traci (Rod) Dolph of Jefferson City, MO, son; Michael Dumas of Rome, GA, daughter; Noreen (Chad) Hullander of Cartersville, GA, step-son; Jeff (Melissa) Shropshire of Dallas, GA, step-daughter; Sabrina (Robbie) Cheves of Blowing Rock, NC, grandchildren; Oscar Dumas, Morgan and Luke Dolph, Haley and Katelyn Dumas, Bailey Bolton, Madelyn Moore, Rife and Scout Hullander, Joshua, Andrew and Elizabeth Shropshire, and Maggie and Sam Cheves. He’s also survived by his brother; Gary Dumas of Poway, CA, sisters; Patricia Ours of Marksville, LA and Lynda Kerouac of Pensacola, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the family residence Thursday, March 14, at 7:00 pm.
