

Mrs. Malone was born in Macon, GA, on August 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Nancy Lindsey and Lee Holloway. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Raymond Colquitt. She was a graduate of West Palm Beach, FL, High School.
Mrs. Malone was a registered nurse, graduating from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a nurse at Battey State Hospital for many years and served as head pediatric nurse at Floyd Hospital, now Floyd Medical Center, prior to retirement. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano for her Sunday School class.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Malone, Sr., to whom she was married November 24, 1949; two sons, William M. Malone, Jr., Rome, and Ray Malone, and his wife, Judy Lynn, Cartersville; three daughters, Nancy Malone Yearout, and her husband, Dan, Ringgold, Judy Malone Fuqua, and her husband, Shane, Rome, and Pat Malone Mullen, and her husband, Steve, Rome; five grandchildren, Leah Malone, Atlanta, Emily Malone (Chris) Plumley, Talking Rock, Niki Malone, Rome, Stephen Mullen, Rome, and Lindsey Mullen, Rome; two great grandchildren, Kennedy Plumley and Savannah Plumley, Talking Rock; one brother, Lee (Lenda) Holloway, Decatur; and one sister, Patsy (Graybill) Williams, Orlando, FL.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Col. Graybill Williams and the Rev. John Geaney officiating.
The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. At other hours, and after the service, they will be at the residence, 2 Pine Valley Road.
