
Mrs. Wall was born in Rome, Georgia on February 9, 1931. She was the daughter of the late William Edward Salmon and Annie Ouida Rose Salmon. Her brother James E. Salmon Sr. preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Rome Girl’s High School and continued her education at The University of Georgia earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She married her husband Joe H. Wall on October 10, 1959. She taught school for over 40 years. Her career included tenure in Rome, Ga., Sarasota, FL, and Anderson, S.C. She lived in Anderson for 34 years before returning to her hometown in 1996 after the birth of her grandson, Jack, who was the light of her life. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Rome. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cheering on her alma mater the Georgia Bulldogs, and fishing.
She shared many good times with her family fishing at St. George Island, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Joe H. Wall; her son, Mark H. Wall; her grandson Jack H. Wall of Rome and her nephew James E. Salmon Jr.
The family would like to especially thank Melessia Sherman who was her primary caretaker. Pat held a special place in her heart for her. They would also like to thank Yuliana Cruz Cornejo, Rosa Cruz Cornejo, Jennifer Baker, Lauren Keith, Kym Parker, Frances Parker, Jessica Peinado Cruz and Misty McCarley.
The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Saturday February 6, 2016, from 12pm to 1pm. The service will also be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 1pm. The Reverend Jeff Chadwick will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church 101 E. Third Avenue Rome, GA 30161
