Scott Bruce Van Leuven

Mr. Van Leuven was born in Leesburg, Florida on November 9, 1974. He graduated from Rome High School and attended Jacksonville State University. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome. He worked at several restaurants over the years after being trained by the Darden Incorporated Group to be a Sous-Chef.

Survivors include his father and mother, Bruce and Joyce Van Leuven of Rome; one sister, Melissa Bennett of Dallas, GA; one brother-in-law, Michael Bennett; one brother, Todd Van Leuven of Rome; three nephews, Thomas, Hunter and Taylor Bennett of Dallas, GA.; one niece Hayley Bennett of Dallas GA.; former wife, Teresa Hinrichs; one son, Jordan Hinrichs; and fiancé, Linda Smith.

A memorial service was held Thursday June 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Rome with Rev. Bill Pardue officiating. The family received friends Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Daniel’s Funeral Home.
