“Bernie”, “Call me what you want, but don’t call me late for dinner” was a “Shirt off his back” kind of man. Unafraid of hard work, he worked as a timber faller for 15 years and retired as a master Roofer of 30 years. Bernie enjoyed friends, family, and fishing (not necessarily in that order). Bernie is survived by his twin sister Barbara Varner of Magna, Utah; his sister, Mary Dufur of Dolores, Colorado; his brother Thomas Arthur Porter of Indianapolis, Indiana; his son, David Thomas Porter, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren of Orangevale, California. Bernie will be greatly missed. If everybody were like Bernie, there would be no war or world hunger, but …fewer fish.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.LambertFuneral.com for the Porter family.
