Jean and her sister cultivated an early interest in animals by their daily summer walking visits to the nearby Washington Zoo. This animal interest continued throughout life and she did voluntary work at the Placer County SPCA. Her own three dogs received long daily walks at Folsom Lake and especially prepared food.
In her early 20's, Jean moved to Palos Verdes,CA where she raised 3 children. For a two year period she also lived near Caan, France where she became fluent in French and helped cultivate her reputation as an excellent cook.
Her creative ability in her occupation as a Mortgage Banker permitted many first time home owners to benefit from her knowledge of loan procedures. Attractive land prices lead her to move to a "Ranch" in Loomis, CA where horses, cows and sheep were included in her animal interests.
Jean and her husband spent several months each year at other homes back East. One was near Summerville, S.C. where she could relax and enjoy sightseeing trips to nearby Charleston. Another was on little Gasparilla Island in Florida where she became skilled at catching large Tarpon bigger than her. This location attracted many visitors to take advantage of the white beaches and Jean's great dinners. They were also blessed to fly their plane to Baja California and those adventures practicing Spanish while catching Sailfish and Marlin.
Jean was an Amazing and Special Person. Her energy and positive spirit always impressed anyone around her. There are no words to convey how much she will be missed. So until we see her again, Goodbye to a Beautiful and Lovely Woman. Visitation will be held on Friday July 23rd from 4-7 P.M. at Lambert Funeral Home Chapel, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville,CA.
