Just a few words that come to mind while I think of my mother. She had a great sense of humor and never lost that. My mother was a caring, giving, patient, kind, and very compassionate lady. Mom was a woman who wore many hats.
First and foremost, she was a loving and caring wife to my father and raised 6 children. She adored her family and loved to see her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She also loved her crafts and cake decorating, and she was excellent at both. She sold real estate for a short time but also worked with my father in real estate for 10 years as his secretary. She also played on a bowling team when we were in school. She also worked at Gemco in the pharmacy at that time, also with my uncle Will. My mother was a chef and was an amazing one at that. She loved entertaining her family and friends. She really enjoyed playing cards with her friends and she loved the beach so much she just loved the water. She used to fish and she loved it so much that she taught my father how to fish, and my mother and father went on meany fishing trips together and had so much fun.
Mom was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved being involved in church activities. When she was no longer able to attend, she would watch it on TV every Saturday so I would make sure she had dinner early so she wouldn’t miss anything. In addition to watching it on TV, St. Claire Church would come to her and give her communion every Wednesday and that was something she looked forward to every week.
As you are now in the presence of the Lord you are no longer in pain and that gives me peace.
Mom, I miss you so much this is not goodbye but until we meet again, Anne.
