Gene Gilbertson, of Newcastle, California passed away peacefully on November 3rd, 2024. He was born on May 4th, 1932 in Fargo, North Dakota and was raised in Minnesota. He was a loving, patient and joking father, grandfather and great grandfather.
After high school, Gene enlisted in the USAF from 1950 to 1960. He served in aerial/still photography during and post Korean War.
Gene worked for the Roseville Telephone for 31 years. He was a long time bowler and avid golfer. When he could no longer play golf, he loved watching The Golf Channel, game shows along with reruns of M.A.S.H and The Andy Griffith Show.
Gene is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Josephine. He is survived by his son, Donald and his wife, Traci of Newcastle, California; his daughter Mellisa Gilbertson of Ashland, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
