Oh my, as I write out my new 2021 calendar I realize I  will mark the loss of my friend instead of her birthday in July.  What to write about this extraordinary woman?  I met you my first day at the Assembly of God's church that was once on Squirrel Creek Rd in Grass Valley. We knew no one, I had a 6yo Emily in hand when  you & Toya (also age 6?) walked up to help me find children's church. Toya took Em's hand & said "She's my best friend! I'll take her with me." and so it began.....there is no way to make note of all that we shared in 20+yrs. My memories will be a source of comfort, joy, heartaches of loss & of course regrets for conversations put off thinking we had another 20yrs to have them....I'll always love you. One day when I see you again, I will be so glad to hug you & tell you that I've missed you. 

Georgia was a true gem. A sweet, compassionate woman who had a heart of gold.

Georgia, you will be dearly missed. 

Rest in the arms of Angels sweet friend.

I remember first meeting Georgia at the Phone Ministry Team at KLOVE. I remember her quiet strength and kindness to everyone she met. She opened up her home more than once to me when I was grieving the loss of my daughter.  She was full of love and accepted me. That is unconditional love. I was so proud to have known her. God bless you dear sister in Christ. You will be truly missed. 

I had the privilege of spending many many nights in the Dawson house. Georgia entrusted me with Toya and Dj for several years while she worked, and I am great friends with Robbie. Over the years Georgia and I have laughed and told
Stories and shed a few tears. Her strength will always be admired as well as her love and dedication to her children. I find comfort knowing that she doesn’t have to fight any longer. 

Mom,
My favorite memory of you is your love of books.  I think you probably have read everything. Today is the 35th anniversary of the movie the color purple. I remembered how much we loved that movie and we loved the book. We both also loved the stand by Stephen King . I know it’s one of our favorites and one of my mine as well. I’m going to miss talking about what we are reading, discussing, and recommending books with you. I will always think of you when I start a new book.

How does one say goodbye to their mother? I'm so thankful for all the wonderful memories I have with mom and the time we've shared together. I'm so glad that she is not longer suffering anymore and is now at peace.  Until we meet again save a seat for me and I will hold you close to my heart. Don't worry about Toya and Dj. Me, Amber and Wayne will take care of them. I love you mom! Xoxo

I have so many memories of my mom. I had a really hard time picking just one. One of my favorite is her taking me to Dodger stadium to watch the dodgers play a home game!!! That year that’s all she wanted for her birthday other then going to the beach! And that year we did both! We both had so much fun! She gave me the love a baseball! We always talked baseball every season! Sometimes while I was driving home from work she would put the game on and while she was watching I would listen and we would cheer for the Dodgers! I think those memories will always be my favorite!!!
