

John Rodgers was born in Ventura, California on October 26, 1970. John moved from Ventura to Roseville in 1982. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45 on September 25, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Andrea Rodgers, daughter Alexa Grace Rodgers, his parents John and Jean Rodgers, brothers Eddie Henderson and Mike Henderson, and his sisters Laurie Spicer and Kathy Gaffer.
John attended high school at Oakmont High School in Roseville, graduating in 1988.
From a very young age, John loved all genres of music which led him to acquire a large collection of vinyl records and digital media. This led to several enjoyable years working retail music sales for Wherehouse Music and Virgin Records. His vast knowledge of music genres and artists coupled with his magnetic ability to connect with people provided him a very rewarding career for almost twenty years.
As retail music migrated to internet streaming, John moved to Men’s Warehouse where he managed a Tuxedo Outlet at the Galleria Mall in Roseville. His most recent position was as an Assistant Manager for My Goods/76 in Folsom. John had ultimately found his calling working in retail where his friendliness and genuine kindness yielded him loyal customers and decades long friendships.
In his free time, John relished spending time with his daughter, Alexa, and attending all kinds of music related events. He was embracing his life as a new husband and loved just hanging out with his wife.
John cherished his family and friends and was a true gentleman with a kind heart and gentle soul. John was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life held on Saturday, October 1st at 2pm at Lambert Funeral Home (400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA 95678).
