I had emailed my brother David,  and my cousins, Bobby, Marian and Martha, family of our Laurel, but want to place here as well how much I miss Laurel..and that I am unable to fathom that it has been already a year ago today that she 'passed over'....
and I can imagine for the rest of Laurel's immediate family that it is as well simply not to fathom!

dear family and friends of our precious Laurel, 
these past few days missing her so much in many ways, I looked again at the memorial video and saw the message left by friend, Brigitte Harper.....wonderful to laugh again reading this, as it was so recognizeable of my youthful times with this o so special cousin of mine.  All our family Thanksgivings and Christmas times together and more.  Laurel was 1 year older than I; the 'court room debates', Brigitte cites, indeed, and the laughter we shared about almost everything.....always keeping humour ---as did our parents---on top of the list next to hope and love.   Feeling Laurel with me often, and bowing in deep gratitude for her and our family, with oceans of love from across the sea in The Netherlands,

You know what I miss the most? Our friend Laurel Love. I miss her comments, her outlook on life. She was so bright, so intelligent, and she didn’t need AI to make her points or make comments. I liked to argue with her, she would make so much sense, I would back down. I would fume a bit, pridefully, but I would hear her point of view, even though i may have disagreed.
  She was my match in junior high when she relocated to Vacaville. If there was a debate, she’d always win. I knew she’d always win with her words even though I wanted the last word.  We joked about being in court, and she would  win  a case because she spoke so eloquently.  And she was so giftedly  smart . I wonder what she’d have to say today about what’s going on. I miss her.

We had such a lovely day at the lake with Laurel.

Working with Laurel was so much fun. When we had to come up with solutions Laurel always stepped in with her productive ideas. Her laugh- was very contagious! I know she loved Alan like no other, her cats meant the world to her and she loved becoming a grandmother. She was proud of Eric,too. Alan, I’m deeply sorry for your loss. RIP Laurel

We are so sorry to hear of Lauren’s passing. We’re so glad we got to spend time with her in Bowen at Maggie’s 100th birthday. Thinking of her loved ones at this time. Love Sami, Sue, Kirstie and Lani

I think we started our creativity in elementary school…we loved playing fairies and trolls in the oak trees below her house.  On weekends we would trade off..one weekend we went roller skating (Laurel was great, I hated it) and the next we horseback riding (she hated it).    In the last few years we traded our love for felines and animals in general and some great political discussions.   I saw her last when we were passing through on our way to Yellowstone and had a wonderful time with Alan and Bob along for dinner.   I will miss sharing our posts on Facebook.   I will miss her.

Lauren will be deeply missed. My condolences to her family. Love you, my friend, RIP.
