

Survived by her husband Rick of almost 32 years, her sister Frances Alice, and 3 children Brian (Mary), Arthur (Marti), Alysse, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Her parents Marc and Alice LeDuc; brother Raoul; sister Jacqueline Shanahan; sister Clarisse Pitto and her husband “Uncle Jim” Pitto; and her children’s father Allan Trimble predeceased Marcia.
Born in Antioch, CA on June 11, 1933, Marcia was a graduate of UC Berkeley with a master from Sacramento State University. She was a resource specialist at Kit Carson Middle School for 34 years, retiring in 1999.
Marcia was very active throughout her life: with her children’s activities in scouts and the Sacramento Youth Band; Toastmistress International; Zeta Tau Alpha Alumni; Sierra Camera Club, served as president; Gold Rush Chapter of the Photographic Society of America, served as president; a CAL Bear Life Time member; National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, served as Chapter Regent and State Parliamentarian; Daughters of American Colonist; Priscilla Alden Chapter National Society Colonial Dames of the XVIII Century; Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars; Dames of the Court of Honor; earned the Registered Parliamentarian status with the National Association of Parliamentarians; and Toastmasters International, earning 7 Distinguished Toastmaster awards, a Presidential Citation, served on the Board of Directors 1981-1983 as the third woman elected to this position.
