
Armin (Adam) Bernardi was born on January 13, 1920 in Mark, Illinois. He entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2013, in the comfort of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Mary Bernardi, his brothers Joseph, Dominic, Angelo, Adam and his niece Dolores. The family resided in Kincaid, Illinois during Armin’s childhood.
In 1935, he relocated to Detroit with his family. While living in Detroit, Armin faithfully attended St. Louis the King Catholic Church.
Always a dedicated worker, Armin served at Chevrolet Gear and Axel in the maintenance department, until he retired in 1979. Armin was also the family caregiver for his mother, Mary and brother Angelo. In addition to the various chores and responsibilities of caregiving, Armin maintained a garden and many flowers, which his mother greatly enjoyed.
He will be remembered for his lighthearted sense of humor and his friendly disposition. Armin enjoyed visiting the horses at the Hazel Park Raceway, Detroit Tigers games and spending quality time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his niece, Carol Rusie of Roseville, Michigan, his Great-Niece Sheri Craig, of Roseville, Michigan and his Great-Nephew Keith (Wendy) Rusie of Cincinnati, OH. The family wishes to pay special recognition and appreciation to: Dr. Erwin Feldman and staff, the staff at Mary’s Center for Seniors and Seasons Hospice.
