Leo Jim Styber, age 65, of Roseville Michigan passed away on Nov 22, 2024. Loving and caring father of Michael Lee (Kathy) Styber and Christopher Lee Styber. Proud grandfather of William and Myra. Most beloved and dearest Uncle Lee to Cody and Cameron whom he helped raise to be men with good values and upstanding morales just as good as his own. Most beloved and dearest Uncle Lee to Evangeline, their childlike bond knew no boundaries. Dearest friend and former husband of Darlene whom he loved so absolutely an unconditionally. Uncle Lee to an entire neighborhood of children. And Lee to many family and friends.
Born and raised in Detroit. Leo was a devoted catholic from an early age attending St Bartholomew catholic church with his mother (Lorraine) and grandmother. Although he lost his father (Hank) early in life, Leo grew into a man that always put the needs of his family and others that he loved above his own. He worked long grueling hours and endured all weather conditions fixing water main breaks in efforts to restore clean running water to neighborhoods. He enjoyed his job since the service he provided was an essential necessity for families, businesses, and communities to function.
Leo succeeded in providing the family he built with a better life through years of hard work and labor. He raised a family with 2 sons that he loved and was very proud of. He also had a tremendous love for animals, especially dogs and horses. While he enjoyed his morning coffee he would often allow his artistic side to shine through on an accompanying napkin. He loved to laugh and enjoy good times with family and friends. He was the kind of person that would have a positive impact on another person's life without them ever realizing it. Throughout his life he had many loves; martial arts, motorcycles, muscle cars, and video games were just a few. Leo lived a life full of wonder always looking for the brighter side. And when others turned their backs and gave up on him, he never gave up on them. He always held hope that life was going to get better, people were going to get better, that there was just something better. The simple things in life is where he found the most happiness. Leo was a man that truly carried love in his heart for his fellow man and even more for family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
