Martha Sleeper

Martha Sleeper, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 10, 2015 in Sterling Heights. Mrs. Sleeper was born on June 12, 1927 to Micheli and Lena Concetta (Aiosa) DeMaria. She worked for many years as a Binder for Helms Inc. a publisher of books. She met her husband Donald and they married June 21, 1954. Together they raised their children, Donald and Darlene in Detroit and Roseville. She was a devout member of her church, St. Donald Catholic Church in Roseville. After retiring she assisted her children in raising their children and later her great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sleeper is survived by her son, Donald D. (Mary) Sleeper; daughter, Darlene Paszkowski; grandchildren, Jason (Holly) Sleeper, Jeffery (Cali) Paszkowski, and Nicole (Ken) Buffa-Sylvester; great-grandchildren, Sebrina Sleeper, Dominic Buffa, Emma Pazkowski and Donald Paszkowski; sisters, Mary DeMaria, Antoinette Crossley, Frances Line, Betty Demeter, Josephine Aubel, Dorothy Lombardo, Jennie Sund and brother, Michael DeMaria.

Martha was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Donald in 1988 and her sister Constance Toutant in 1999.

Friends may visit Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. Visitation continues on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, (Schroeder at Nine Mile road in Eastpointe) from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
