We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michelle Opal Phinney. She died at age 51 on June 12th, 2023 surrounded by family and friends in her home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Greg Phinney, her daughter, Alexis Opal Phinney, and her mother, Lillian Murphy. She is predeceased by her father, Melvin Michael Murphy. Proud aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Michelle grew up in Roseville, Michigan and moved to Clinton Township in 2007. She worked for Brennen Jewelers for over 30 years, and also as a secretary for the family business for 25 years.
She will be remembered for her wonderful smile and laugh, and the kindness she showed others. She was often described as a great joy to be around and a light in everyone’s lives. Words cannot describe how fantastic of a mom Michelle was, how loving a wife, and how cherished a daughter.
We will be holding a memorial service for Michelle on Saturday August 12th 2023, 1:00 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 26830 W Park St, Roseville, MI 48066.
