Scottie Socia

Beloved brother of Steven (Debbie) Socia and Sandy (Don) Reddick. Proud uncle of Steven (Jamie), Kelly (Bobby), Daniel (Kristy), and Donny. Scott is also survived by many great- nieces and great-nephews. Scott is predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy Socia.

Scottie developed a lifelong passion for how things worked. A natural-born tinkerer, he found joy in taking things apart and making them run better than new. Neighbors, friends, and family often brought him their stubborn, non-running lawnmowers and snowblowers, confident that Scott could solve any mechanical puzzle.

When he wasn’t under the hood of a machine, Scottie was likely pursuing one of his passions. He was an avid operator of remote-control boats, enjoying the precision and speed of maneuvering them across the water. He also had a deep love for music and guitars.

A visitation for Scottie will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 3PM until 8PM, with a Memory Sharing Service at 6PM, at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066. Final interment and resting place, White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Please share a memory with the family on Scottie’s online guestbook.
