Sonny Wilson

Sonny , a proud Scotsman who brought light and laughter to all who knew him. Born in Leith, Scotland, he carried the spirit and stories of his homeland throughout his life in Michigan.

He was a longtime, dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Roseville, Michigan, where he served with honor as a Past Worthy President.His Eagles family held a special place in his heart. When not tinkering in the garage or leading his club, Sonny, could be found embracing life on the open road with his hot rods and motorcycles or sharing stories and laughter around a campfire while camping. He simply loved people, but above all, he loved his family most.

Sonny’s infectious personality, amazing sense of humor and a mischievous grin will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A passionate and skilled heavy duty mechanic by trade, Sonny retired after many fulfilling years with Chrysler.

Beloved husband of Theresa Wilson married for 39 years. Loving father of Claire Wilson, Vincent Swiben, Jacqueline Wilson and Evan (Lauren) Yousif. Proud grandfather of Stephan Swiben, Angel Swiben, Quinn Wilson, Ryker Wilson, Lola Wilson and Mason Yousif. Dearest brother of Thomas (Isabelle) Wilson, John Wilson and James (Pat) Wilson. Sonny is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Tony Hatzigeoriou.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 2PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 25900 Little Mack, Roseville, MI 48066. Please share a memory with the family on Sonny’s online guestbook
