Audine Wohlford

Audine Wohlford, age 70, of Alpharetta, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Born June 15, 1943 in Portland, Oregon. The fourth of five daughters to Edward and Francis Cook.

After high school Audine returned to Oregon from Washington to work with her mother and later in their own restaurant in Stayton, OR. Not long after Audine met and married Jim Wohlford who was in the Air Force, stationed near Cornallis. While still in Monmouth daughter Veda was born. When Jim finished his tour in the Air Force the family moved to Washington State in the Birch Bay and Bellingham areas. Son Wayne was born in 1969. Audine spoiled her family as a full time mother and housewife.

Opportunities in Jim's Career moved them first to Foster City, California on the San Francisco Bay in 1988, and ultimately to Atlanta in 1989 where they settled in Alpharetta. Veda and Wayne soon followed and settled in the area. Wayne married Marquelle and presented Audine and Jim with two Grandchildren Jenna and Brett.

With the children gone from the house, Audine decided that she needed to fill her time with something that was interesting and fun so she took a job at a daycare center. In 2006 Audine and Jim retired and they enjoyed many travels all over North America as well as Europe, Central and South America. Audine divided her time between her Grandkids and shopping.

Audine is survived by husband Jim, children Veda and Wayne (Marquelle), sister Gayle Jones, and grandchildren Jenna and Brett.
