Born on July 10, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Barbara lived a rich and full life surrounded by family and friends. Known for her love of family, outgoing and bubbly personality and her bright smile that lit up the room wherever she went. She never met a stranger.
Barbara and her husband Don built a beautiful life together. They moved from Milwaukee, WI to Wheaton, Maryland in 1962 and moved to Andover, New Jersey in 1972 and finally settled in Roswell, Georgia since 1975.
Barbara loved music and her first job was in a well-known Milwaukee record shop where she met several recording celebrities, including Elvis. Music was always with Barb and Don throughout their 66 years together.
Barbara served as a hard working member of the Board of Education for Byram Township in Sussex County, New Jersey. She was also honored to be named the Director of Public Relations for the Jack C. Boone Realty company. Later, Barbara was the welcoming face and voice of the North River office of Northside Realty where she met Northside’s Chief Executive, the late Senator Johnny Isakson, who befriended her and frequently spoke with her. Her warmth and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She and Don enjoyed traveling together visiting 49 states in the USA, Europe, Caribbean, Central America, Australia, and Bali, Indonesia. Barbara and Don delighted in their home away from home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Outgoing and inquisitive, Barbara enjoyed meeting new people and made lasting friendships wherever she went, even with fellow passengers on an airplane or supermarket! Barbara corresponded with friends old and new throughout her life and wrote stories for her family. She was especially proud of becoming a fashion model later in life, modelling clothes in a show at North Point Mall in Roswell, Georgia.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Donald J. Frick; her son, Scott D. Frick, who is married to Leslie Frick; her daughter, Bonnie J. Taylor, widow of Drew N. Taylor; and her daughter, Pam Reel, who is married to Wes Reel.
Barbara was a proud and loving "Gigi" to her grandchildren Amanda J. Taylor, Jason M. Taylor, who is married to Lydia Taylor, Brett M. Reel, who is engaged to Tori Barclay, and Jenna M. Reel. She is also survived by her sister Judi Kuehl of Green Bay, WI and her brother Richard Lewitzke, who is married to Ann Canlew, of Watertown, WI.
She was predeceased by her parents Ralph A Lewitzke and Dorothy E Lewitzke, her sister Nancy J Dieringer, her beloved son-in-law Drew N Taylor, his twin brother Dennis Taylor, and her brother-in-law Eugene Kuehl and many dear friends.
