It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernice Anne Biroschak, 85, of Alpharetta, GA, who passed away peacefully in her home on May 27, 2024. Bernice was born on May 25, 1939, in New Castle, PA, to the late Victor and Anna Zarilla. She grew up and graduated from school in New Castle, PA, before pursuing a fulfilling career as a nurse.
Bernice was a dedicated nurse and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who found joy in the company of her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, socializing she had many talents and skills from cake decorating, baking, flower arranging, making jewelry and quilting. Since the passing of her beloved husband, Michael, in 2011, she has deeply missed him.
Bernice leaves behind her cherished children, Sheryl Ann Truesdell, Michelle Marie Biroschak, and Michael David Biroschak, as well as her daughter-in-law, Roslyn. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Brandon, Taylor, Alexis, and Michael John, and a great-grandmother to Sadie and Elliott. She is also survived by her siblings, Victor, Maryellen, and Marsha.
A viewing will be held on May 30, 2024, from 7-9 PM at Roswell Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place on May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Brigid Catholic Church, followed by interment on June 1, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Green Lawn Cemetery starting at Roswell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Brigid Catholic Church in Bernice's memory.
Bernice will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
