Arrangements under the direction of Roswell Funeral Home.Mrs. Betty F. Hanson, 80, died Wednesday September 14, 2011. Mrs. Hanson grew up in Columbus, GA and was retired from the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA. She lived most recently in Alpharetta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Albert W. Hanson, in 2000. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Deborah H. Turner and her husband, Dr. James Turner of Marietta, GA, and by her daughter Dakota Sharon Phillips Wheeler and her husband, Dr. Ray Wheeler of Oviedo, FL; grandchildren: Hanson Turner and Kathleen Turner; and many nieces and nephews. A family graveside service is planned for Saturday, September 17, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA. Roswell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. (770) 993-4811.
