We celebrate the life of Bryce Elijah Williams Young, a radiant soul who touched countless lives with his kindness, joy, and passion for living. From Roswell, GA, and Riegelwood, NC, Bryce brought light into this world that will never dim.
From the moment he could walk, Bryce was in motion. A talented track and field athlete at Milton High School, he found his stride not just on the track but in the lives of those around him. His teammates and coaches knew him not only for his speed, but for his spirit—the way he lifted others, encouraged them, and made them feel seen and valued. Whether sprinting toward the finish line or simply sharing a laugh, Bryce’s presence was warm and loving.
Bryce’s influence extended beyond athletics. As a social media creator, he had a way of bringing people together—sometimes with quietness, other times with laughter, always with kindness. He was the life of the party - always dancing, singing, and cracking jokes. He found peace in the outdoors, especially riding dirt bikes and four wheelers.
Though still discovering his path, Bryce was drawn to engineering, approaching his future with patience and curiosity. He understood that clarity comes in time and had the courage to “walk by faith, not by sight”—his favorite scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:7. His belief in God was deeply personal, guiding him through victories and challenges.
Bryce leaves behind a family who adored him: his mother, Aishah Williams; his father, Joseph O. Young, Jr. (Cindy); his brothers, Austin and Conner; his maternal grandmother, Bettie Grose; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph "Owen" Young, Sr. and Diane "Mona" Young. Grand aunts: Vivian Grose (Charles Wilson), Viola Waddell, Alma Bowen, Erthel Saulter (Marlow), Stephanie Young Banks, Larine Graham (Gerald), Phoebe Hall, Miami Robinson and Arlenda Bowen. Aunts and uncles: Gregory Denson (Lavetta), Nathaniel Denson, Sr., Tamara Brayboy (James), James Williams, Jr. (Errine), James Young (LaDonna), Jonathan Young (Brandi Jacobs) and Jasmine Young (Yazmine Bracey) and Godfather Fredrick King. Bryce is reunited in love with his late uncle, Korrie Jacobs (survived by LaNyia Little).
Along with extended family, friends and teammates, we will forever carry his memory in our hearts.
A celebration of Bryce’s life will take place on February 7th at 11:00 am at Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bryce’s honor to the Milton High School Track and Field Club, ensuring his passion for running continues to inspire young athletes.
Bryce lived with energy, love, and faith—he ran his race with endurance. Though his time here was short, the impact he made was immeasurable. May we all carry forward his spirit, running with the same determination, kindness, and light that he so effortlessly shared with us all.
