C. Jay Steele

C. Jay Steele, 87, of Roswell, GA passed away on June 28, 2015. He was born on January 15, 1928 and raised in Anamosa, IA. He received a Bachelor of General Engineering from Iowa State University in 1949 and was a registered professional engineer. Two years after graduating he moved to Atlanta and began a family business that has continued through four generations to this day. He was a member of the Roswell United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Shirley Steele whom he married on June 26, 1949, and two sisters, Phyllis Day and Pauline Cordell. He is survived by sons - Jeff (Shelly) Steele, of Roswell, Jon (Joyce) Steele, of Duluth, Joe Steele, of Roswell; sister, Ann Steele;grandchildren - Aaron (Ashley), Abby, Julie and Natalie; great grandchildren - Alex and Brooke. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA. The Celebration of Life Service will be 11 A.M., Thursday, July 2, at Roswell United Methodist Church, 814 Mimosa Blvd., Roswell, GA. He will be placed at rest following the service at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roswell United Methodist Church. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
