

Cleburne E. Atwell, 69, of Alpharetta, GA, passed away on November 2, 2015. Born and raised in Hart County, KY, Cleburne was a Vietnam veteran for the Military Army Intelligence from 1966-1967 then went on to retire from Rockwell International and from Merritor. He loved hunting and fishing and he never met a stranger. Cleburne was affectionately known as "Papa Bear" and his infectious personality will be missed by so many.
Cleburne is preceded in death by his parents, Seaymon and Kathleen Atwell and is survived by his wife, Carole Atwell; daughters, Stacey Lynn Atwell, Stephanie Atwell (Rey) Aratea; sons, Jeffrey Bryan (Leah) Glass, Wesley Todd (Robin) Glass; grandchildren, Olivia Faye Aratea, Isabella Raedyn Aratea, Wimberly Grace Glass, Carson Joiner Glass, Madison Brantley Glass, Harper Townsend Glass; sister, Beatrice Kay Lindsey; and dog, Caty.
Visitation will take place on November 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow on November 6, 2015 at Georgia National Cemetery at 10:30 am and will be officiated by Senior Pastor of Crabapple First Baptist Church, Jerry Dockery.
