David lived a life defined by compassion and care for others. As a dedicated physical therapist, he spent his career helping people heal, regain strength, and return to the lives they loved. His work was more than a profession—it was a reflection of who he was.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, David went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Georgia Medical College. He enjoyed playing golf and had a lifelong passion for sports. He could often be found cheering for his favorite teams, Georgia and Michigan—his loyalty shifting depending on the game and rivalry.
David had a deep love for his dogs, who were his constant companions and a true source of joy in his life. Anyone who knew him understood just how much they meant to him.
He was an incredibly proud uncle to Tyler and Ryan and never missed an opportunity to share their accomplishments or stories. Simply speaking their names brought joy to his face.
David also shared a special and lifelong bond with his dear friend Greg Tremble, his wife Abigail, and their children, Isabella, Tommy (Hope), Jamie, and Blair. Their connection extended far beyond friendship—they were family in every sense.
David is survived by his parents, Melvin (Luann) O’Hara and Barbara O’Hara (Craig Miller); his sister, Shawn (Chris) Cooper; and his beloved nephews, Tyler Cooper (Lauren Watkins) and Ryan Cooper (Ali Wittenauer). He is also survived by his stepsisters, Mame (Paul) Tallent and Leslie (Nick) Roberts, along with many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind numerous friends and extended family members who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words.
David will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s honor to your local humane society.
