David Michael Wash, 62, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on February 12, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and steady presence in his community, David lived with warmth, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, David developed a lifelong love for the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. He carried his hometown pride with him wherever he lived. Close in age to his siblings, he cherished those relationships and made frequent trips back to Baltimore to spend time with them and the many friends who felt like family.
David graduated from the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business, laying the foundation for a respected and accomplished career in finance and accounting. He passed the Certified Public Accountancy examination on his first sitting and began his professional journey as a Senior Manager with KPMG and BearingPoint. In 2001, he moved to Atlanta, and shortly thereafter joined Strategic Planning Group, where he rose to become a Senior Partner. In 2011, he opened the firm’s Roswell branch office, building the practice from the ground up. David was known for his excellence and integrity, but what set him apart was how deeply he cared for his clients—not only about their financial well-being, but about their lives, families, and futures.
David loved gathering with people. He rarely passed up the chance for lunch with a friend or time spent at The Masters Tournament in Augusta. He enjoyed conversation, laughter, and encouraging others in whatever they were pursuing. With his warmth, quick wit, and willingness to listen, David made people feel seen and valued.
At the center of David’s life was his faith. He loved Jesus, and that faith anchored his character and guided his decisions. A member of First Baptist Alpharetta, he expressed his faith through quiet generosity and a readiness to help—whether family, friends, clients, or neighbors.
His commitment to service extended throughout the Roswell community. David was an active member of the Roswell Rotary Club for many years, and Rotary held a special place in his heart. He served as a board member of Fulton Families Matter and chaired the 34th Annual Aubrey Greenway Charity Golf Tournament. He also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Veterans’ support initiatives, the Roswell Memorial Day Celebration, and the Roswell Rotary Relays.
For all of his accomplishments, far and away David’s greatest joy was his family. He loved his wife Elizabeth, his son William, and their dog Snoopy with his whole heart. He was the dad in the middle of everything—on class field trips, camping trips, golf outings, and backyard adventures. He poured himself into fatherhood, building Legos, traveling together, and savoring the everyday rhythms of family life.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Wash; his son, William Wash; his sister, Vickie L. Wash, Esq.; his brother, Frankie Wash; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pridmore; his sister-in-law, Jeannie Overocker; his brother-in-law, Travis Overocker; and his nieces, Mary Beth Overocker and Georgia Overocker. He is also survived by countless friends, clients, and colleagues whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home. The family welcomes all who knew and loved David to join them in celebrating a life marked by faith, integrity, generosity, and love.
