Douglas Doug A. Furbush

Doug was born on March 27, 1948 in Danbury, CT to Winston Woodbury Furbush and Helen Rose Arasin. He passed on September 24th, 2011. Doug is survived by his wife Margaret Mary Furbush, his sister, Darlene Rose Ouellett, two children Gael-Marie Furbush and Daniel Furbush, and two grandchildren Patrick Ryan Furbush and Dresden Andrew Wright. He attended school at Long Island University and Mercy College in New York. After college he met and married Margaret Mary Keane. Doug was an IT Project Manager for Georgia Tech in Atlanta and a partner in a manufacturing software company called GTC in partnership with Georgia Tech. He was a member of APICS, practiced yoga, was an avid gardner, enviromentalist, and animal lover. He enjoyed flying planes, reading, photography, and playing chess. Doug was a Cub and Boy Scout Leader and he loved working on model trains with his grandchildren. He was a friendly soul who always would stop to take the time to hear others and help with any problems. He always put others in front of himself. Doug enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, traveling, sight seeing, and appreciated local cuisine. Doug will be deeply missed by his family and anyone that has met him throughout his life.
