Evangelia Zaharogiannis/Zachos

Evangelia was born on July 13, 1951, in Mavromati Pamisou Messinia’s Greece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Exarhos and Christina Psyhogios and her sister, Chrisoula Saradopoulos.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harry Zaharogiannis/Zachos, her two sons, Michael Zaharogiannis and wife, Chrisoula, of Acworth, GA and Christos Zachos of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Eleni Ware and late husband Joshua and four grandchildren, Harilaos Zaharogiannis, Harilaos Zachos, Robert Zachos and Samuel Ware. Evangelia is also survived by her sister, Eleni Anagnostopoulo, her brothers, Elia Psygohios, Thanisi Psygohios and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Evangelia found great joy in comforting others with her culinary gift, preferring to cook from her own garden bounty. She enjoyed a peaceful retirement with her husband on their farm in Rockmart, GA. Her biggest delight, pride and joy was nestled among her four grandchildren.

Viewing will be hold at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm with a prayer service to be held at 6:00pm. The funeral service will take place at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 3431 Trickum Rd, Marietta, GA 30066 on Monday, December 8, 2025 at11:00am. Following the service, Evangelia will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, GA. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Marietta Fish Market, 3185 Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30066
