Mrs. Fred G. Hodgson Jr, nee Florence Kimball Morrison, of Roswell, GA and West Falmouth, MA, died on June 29, 2016. Mrs. Hodgson was a Registered Nurse. She served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps (1940-1946) in various U.S. posts, as well as Puerto Rico, England, France, and Belgium during WWII. Ms. Hodgson was a charter member of the “Women In Military Service for America”, in Arlington, VA, and was a member of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Associates of Emory University. She was a past president of the Peachtree-Dunwoody Garden Club of Atlanta GA. Mrs. Hodgson is survived by her daughter Lynn M. Hodgson of Roswell, GA, and son Frederick G. Hodgson III of California. There will be no service. The body was cremated, and the ashes will be scattered by family near her husband’s. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests friends donate to their favorite charity or to the Women in Military Service for America (www.womensmemorial.org).
