

Gloria B. Nardecchia, age 94, of Woodstock, GA passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her home after a short illness with her family present. Gloria had a goal to complete 95 years on this earth but was called home beyond the veil of mortal life 4 days shy of her 95th birthday. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Gloria worked as a telephone operator for many years for Ma Bell and National Lead. She did a short stint as a dispatcher for Hermann Forwarding Trucking Co. Her last career employment was as a receptionist for General Foods Corp in Cranbury, N.J. for 10 years before her retirement.
She resided in Monroe Twp, New Jersey (20 + years). After retirement she and her husband moved to Oro Valley, AZ (23 years) to enjoy the “good life”. After her husband passed away in 2011, she decided to join family in Georgia in 2012.
Gloria’s passion was gardening. She belonged to the Sun City Garden Club in Oro Valley, AZ; the Roswell Garden Club in Roswell, GA and the Grateful Dead Headers Garden Club at Autumn Hill Nursery in Woodstock, GA where she held many different positions in the club.
While living in Arizona at the age of 62, she learned to paint. She excelled as an artist and became well known in the Tucson area with several newspaper write ups and paintings in a Juried Traveling Art Expedition.
She was an active member of several organizations- Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter NSDAR; Clara Barton Chapter of NSDAR; General Jone Clarke Chapter of the United States Daughters 1813; President of the (DUVCW) Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War; Andrew Turnbull Chapter of American Colonists; Daughters of Holland Dames and Orkney Family History Society in Scotland.
Gloria is predeceased in death by her husband Alfred Nardecchia and her son Scott Olah. She is survived by her three daughters Debbie Johnson of Roswell, GA; Sandy Olah of Hickory Flat- Woodstock, GA; Vicki Olah of Calhoun, GA; three grandchildren Heather Sparks (Jacob) of Woodstock, GA; Andrew Olah of Hartley, DE; Corie Olah of Middletown, DE; five great grandchildren: Justin Olah, Bell, Klarra, Ryan, and Cameron of Delaware.
Funeral services will be held in Roswell, Georgia. Interment will be in Robbinsville, New Jersey at a future date.
