

Howard Gustav Haddigan passed from this world at the age of 89 near his home in Starkville, Mississippi on Thursday, June 9, 2016. He was born in Jamaica, New York and was a graduate of New York Military Academy and the University of Vermont, where he was a member of both the football team and track team and was crowned the Cake Walk King. He was a WWII veteran who served in Europe. Howard was a long time employee of Equifax which brought his family to Dunwoody in 1970. While living in Dunwoody with his wife, Vivian (predeceased in 2004), he was actively involved in the Urban League and youth sports as he truly loved his time on the athletic field as a youth softball umpire and coach and as a high school football official throughout North Georgia. For years following his retirement he chased the golf ball around at Olde Atlanta Club with the OF group. He is survived by his daughters, Jane Moore (Tom) and Sarah Fervier (John) of Atlanta and Peachtree Corners, and grandchildren, Sarah Bonacuse (Mike) and Brain Moore (Becky) of Dunwoody and Cumming, respectively, and Vicki Littauer (Jordan) of Charlotte, NC, and Kelsey Fervier of Charleston, SC, along with 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife, Louise of Starkville, MS. and her daughter, Nancy Lifer and her husband Martin and their daughters, Grace and Faith. .
