

Jim was born on August 20, 1948, in Grand Island, Nebraska. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jim married the love of his life, Jill, on August 8, 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love and family.
Jim enjoyed a successful career in sales, traveling extensively, including many trips to Japan. Upon retiring, he embraced his passions for reading, golfing, hunting, and road trips. His strong faith led him to support various charitable organizations, including serving on the board of Catholic Charities. Jim was always good for a joke or two and his contagious laughter could bring a smile to anyone in his presence. Above all, Jim treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, serving as a cornerstone in their lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Lorraine Aden, and an infant sister. Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Jill Johanson Aden and their children: Julie Morvice (Bob), Christina Aden Holloman (Adam), and Mark Aden (Mary). He will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren: Abby Aden, Bengt, Anna, Aden, and Edward Morvice, and Henry Aden. He is also survived by his four brothers, Tom, Jeff, Chris and Matt Aden, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and generosity.
A funeral Mass will be held on April 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 112 S. Cedar St., Grand Island, NE followed by a celebration of Jim’s life in Omaha, NE.
Jim’s life was a testament to love, faith, and the joy of shared moments, and he will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
