Born on February 7, 1967, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Jason put drive, determination and passion into everything he did. He was extremely self-driven and never lazy. He never expected anything from anyone, and he made things happen. He didn’t sit idly by. He only slowed down to talk classic cars or help his family and friends.
Jason’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and co-own several businesses. It was by way of one of his early companies that he met his beautiful wife Sue. They have been together for 27 years. Married in Merrimack, New Hampshire on June 13,1998, Jason and Sue then moved to Roswell Georgia, where they have raised two wonderful sons, Nicholas and Anthony. As a devoted husband, father, friend and son, nothing was more important to him than family.
Jason leaves behind many colleagues and clients that have become lifelong friends from the many businesses where he worked including Fidelity Investments, as a co-owner of Roswell Asset Advisers with Larry Martin and as owner of Georgia Classics. Jason had a love for stocks, cars, real estate and most importantly helping people. He loved investing and buying and selling properties and classic cars. He would give his time, his expertise and his affection to anyone in need without question. None of this, however, ever took precedence over his deep commitment to his family and friends. Jason never missed a sporting or academic event and always made time for Sue and the boys. He passionately coached soccer, baseball and basketball, served as scout leader and rooted for his boys at football games. Jason loved being there for his kids.
He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. As many can attest to, Jason made you feel welcomed and loved and with his great smile and the best spontaneous hugs. He will be dearly missed.
Jason loved going to the beach in Florida with his family. He loved taking the boys fishing and was looking to buy a boat so that he could take friends and family fishing. Exceedingly generous and kind, he helped his artist mother renovate an old farmhouse in Woodstock, Ga. He did a lot of the work himself, not just because he could save a buck or two, but because he could actually do the hard work to get it done, a work ethic that he was determined to pass on to his boys. At the end of the day, Jason’s full-throttle life was marked by hard work, great friends and many wins, but if asked, he would most likely say his proudest accomplishments are his sons and the mutual respect and devotion of his wife.
Jason is survived by his wife Sue and sons Nicholas and Anthony, his mother, Anita Huddlestun, father Jon Sellew and his wife Helen, sister, Hilary Wilson, cousin Bernard K. Huddlestun and many other cousins. Jason is preceded in death by Grandparents Philip and Sally Sellew and Bernard Clyde Huddlestun and Nancy Huddlestun and uncles Frank Sellew, Tommy Sellew and Bernard P. Huddlestun.
