Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 13, 1935 to Mae and Robert Lunsford, Jean was an outgoing and vivacious personality from the beginning. Jean was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, AL and a very proud alumna of Auburn University where she made and kept many lifelong friendships. Jean and Gus raised four children together, threw many parties and took many summer vacations to Jean's favorite place in the world: Panama City Beach. Jean was an avid reader, bridge and scrabble player and an enthusiastic grandmother. For Jean life was a series of family celebrations just waiting to be planned and a stranger was just a future friend in the making.
