Joel Anthony Kramer

Joel was born to the late Ernest and Marian Kramer on August 16, 1950 in Houston, TX. He grew up in Crystal Lake Iowa where he played on his high school football team and was a member of the honor band. After high school graduation, Joel moved to St. Louis Park, Minnesota where he attended Dunwoody Technical School to obtain his degree in architectural drafting. While he was serving in the National Guard of Iowa between 1970 – 1976, Joel met his wife Linda Baumgartner and they married on June 5, 1976. Joel and Linda moved to Roswell, GA and had their two daughters, Laura and Lisa.

Joel enjoyed traveling, sci-fi movies and spending time with his loved ones. He was known for his kindness, generosity and compassionate spirit. He welcomed all with open arms and his greatest joy was his family. He was a beloved husband, father, brother-in-law, father-in-law and Pop Pop.

Joel is preceded in death by his father Ernest, mother Marian and half-brother Greg.

His memory will be cherished by his wife Linda, two daughters; Laura and Lisa, son-in-law; W. T. and his two grandsons; Colton and Landon; and many extended family members and friends.

The Kramer family will receive friends and family on March 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home for his Celebration of Life.
