John Taylor (Jack) Baird, age 88 of Johns Creek GA passed away peacefully on May 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. He is survived by Barbara (Kreps), his loving wife of 59 years, children John (Karen) Baird of Maineville OH, Nancy (Chris) Simon, of Commerce Twp. MI, and Kathy (Doug) Laughlin of Alpharetta GA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. After serving our country in the Army in Italy during WWII, Mr. Baird graduated from Albion College, and served in various business and senior management capacities during a 40 year career. He was a recognized lifetime member of the American Legion Post 217 in Wyandotte MI, and was generous benefactor for many various charities and causes. He was a member of Rivermont Country Club for 35 years, and with his wife enjoyed spending time there with their many friends. To celebrate his life, a gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, May 8 at the Rivermont Country Club, Johns Creek GA. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a preferred charity.
