Jouetta Ford Cooper Klotz, 88, passed away at her home in Dawsonville, GA surrounded by loved ones on November 1st, 2024. 2nd Timothy 4:7 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”
“Jodi” was born on the family farm in Norton, Texas, on December 1st, 1935. She was raised in Lubbock, TX, and after graduation from Lubbock HS she married and moved to Midland, TX, where she remained most of her life. She worked many years for Clinton Oil and Energy Reserves Group and retired after several years working for Dillard’s Dept Store. She was a woman of faith who treasured her family, and she was affectionately known as “GG” to her extended family and friends, and all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her son Ricky Don Cooper, and her parents Henry B and Genita Lee Ford.
She is survived by her daughters – Tina Skelton (Dale) of McKinney, TX, and Lisa Gillett (Jay) of Dawsonville, GA, & daughter-in-law Kathy Cooper of Yukon, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren Katy, Craig, Stacy, Melody, Mandy, Heather, & Jamie; 10 great-grandchildren, her “adopted” son Douglas Gillett of Dawsonville, GA, and a multitude of fur grandbabies whom she dearly loved. A private graveside service will take place in Lubbock, Texas.
