Kenneth was a beloved husband as well as best friend to his wife, Christy. Ken was known for making friends wherever he went, his love of plants and flowers (often conning his wife into walking into the landscape nursery on vacations to purchase more plants home for our yard or sunroom), the beach (an excuse to eat seafood), lighthouses (especially Peggys Cove in Nova Scotia taking almost an hour to get the perfect picture), art (oil, watercolor, photography, and other materials), love of Georgia Football, spoiling our dog with too many doggie treats, as well as his love and many types of music (from his beloved Elvis to Classical Music, including Opera).
His life long dedication was to study and educate others on Health Products, vitamins, and other healthy items. He was a previous owner of a very active, fun and profitable Health Store as well as Managing other Health Food Stores for several years. Ken had been in sales for many years with an extensive background in other products and could sell any product he put his mind too, but Nutrition was his lifelong contribution.
Throughout his life, Ken touched the lives of countless individuals through his thoughtful words and love for others. He enjoyed collecting books, including a special poetry book that captured the heart of his wife, Christy.
Ken will be deeply missed by his wife, Christine “Christy” Barber, his brother, Charles Barber and wife, Debbie Barber of Alabama and brother, Lamar(Samuel) Barber of Washington State. Sisters-in-law, Shirley Fox of Woodstock, GA and Wanda Fox of Tallahassee, Florida. Ken also had many friends both local and long distance, plus a large amount of Facebook friends who enjoyed his posting of beautiful flowers, many pictures from our yard of flowers, or flowers or scenery that we saw on trips. His other brothers and sisters, (quite a large family), were preceded in death as well as his parents.
His nieces, and nephews, too numerous to include all in this notice will certainly miss him, leaving a huge hole in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, 3:30 p.m. at Northbrook United Methodist Church , 11225 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA 30075 to celebrate Kenneth Earl Barber.
Kenneth’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy will forever be cherished.
