Laura Boone

Laura White Boone 65 of Alpharetta departed this life on December 19, 2012 after being struck by an automobile.Laura was born on March 19, 1947 in Queens NY, she grew up on Long Island NY and in the 1970’s became a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines which brought her to Atlanta where she met her beloved husband Don Boone who was an Atlanta Police officer for 22 years , and Executive Security for John Portman, Jr. of Atlanta for 45 years during their marriage ; they were married on October 11, 1969. Laura Loved life, her family and all her beloved dogs; She enjoyed travel, especially the European trip with her husband to Zurich, Paris and Rome. Laura is survived by her beloved husband Don Boone, her daughter Tracy Boone; a son and daughter in law, Shane and Deanna Boone; grandson, Kyle Boone; her Mother, Deloris White, 6 siblings, Kenneth White, Terence White, Carolyn White Richie, Arlene Bizzoso, Susan White Reisig and Keith White. A celebration of life service for Laura will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, her nephew Rev. Thomas Kimbrell will officiate . Her cremains will be laid to rest at Rebels Creek Baptist Church Boone family cemetery in North Carolina in the following days. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 1:00 pm until service time. Roswell funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
