Lillian Sweeney

She was born and raised in Scranton, PA. She graduated from Marywood College with a degree in nutrition. She worked in New York and Pennsylvania where she met the love of her life Edward Sweeney. Together they raised a family in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Atlanta, GA. They both loved to entertain, play bridge, read, do crossword puzzles, and travel. They eventually retired to North Hutchinson Island, FL. Most importantly Lillian was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward Sweeney, SR, parents; Helen and Edward Manley.

She is survived by son; Edward Sweeney, JR (Stacey), daughters; Mary Grace Fry (Randy), Carole Anne Segouin, and Kathleen Sweeney Heagerty, grandchildren; Jeffrey Thomas Fry, Lindsey Fry Pisli (Genti), Ashley Sweeney Stephanchick (T.L), Stephanie Elizabeth Sweeney, Michael Edward Segouin, great grandchildren; Alexandra Grace Pisli.

The mass will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., with a visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.

The inurnment will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
