

Lois Morgan Lucas, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully, at the age of 99, on December 13, 2025. Born on August 6, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she lived a life dedicated to her faith and family.
She is survived by her 4 children: Ken Morgan Jr, Linda Morgan, Cindy Morgan Lapp (Tom) and Douglas Lucas (Jeannie); 10 grand children: Ken Morgan III (Angie), Kristen Morgan Dennis (Brad), Nick Morgan (Ashlyn), Milburn Michael (Laura), Nathan Michael (Adri), Ben Lapp, Christian Lucas, Kevin Lucas, Grace Kendall, Meredith Kendall; 16 great grand children; a brother Ron Hartman (Jan). Lois loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Lois was preceded in death by J. Kenneth Morgan (first husband), Bernie B. Lucas (most recent husband), parents Edward & Evelyn Hartman, sister Betty Clemons, sister Jean Hartman.
Born in 1926, Lois was a depression era baby and the subsequent tough years shaped her strong work ethic and spendthrift nature. Her marriage to Bernie Lucas in 1961 was the result of premature deaths of both their respective spouses. The family was hers (3 children), his (2 children) and ours (1 child). Lois was the “glue” that held the family together. through the years. She was an excellent seamstress, an accomplished cook and a loving, nurturing homemaker - important for the full time job of running the household and raising her children.
Lois and Bernia moved to Roswell, Georgia in 1982 and were active members of Roswell Presbyterian Church. She was active in her Sunday School class through the years until she was the last one remaining. She continued to cook three meals a day and to complete housekeeping chores into her 90’s. Lois had a wonderful heart and an attitude of serving others. She did volunteer work at North Fulton Hospital for over 25 years and worked in the kitchen at her church. Those who spent time with Lois developed great affection towards her and she always amazed them with her memory and current knowledge of world events, particularly politics. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held in the sanctuary at Roswell Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the adjoining Narthex following the service.
