

Ms. Lorraine M. Smith, 72, a resident of Woodstock entered into God’s care peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. Lorraine, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa was born on July 5, 1940 to the late Josephine Smith. She was employed by Peter’s Papers as a Controller which is where she retired. To be with her family, she immigrated to the United States of America at 69 years old. She was an artist who saw the world in unique ways and was able to express that in her paintings. She also loved music as it lifted her spirit. She was well known for her sense of humor which brought laughter to those around her. We were blessed to know and love her.
Lorraine, a beloved mother of two, is survived by son, Robert A. Smith and his wife, Raquel of Woodstock, Georgia; a daughter, Natalie Riley and her husband Garrett of Scottsdale, Arizona. Her seven grandchildren, Gareth, Gavin and Caroline Smith; Heather, Abbey, Elizabeth and Conner Riley; and her brother Jeff Smith and his wife Nicky of Johannesburg, South Africa; her sister Colleen Smith and husband Brian of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2 p.m. with the memorial service at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Roswell Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Barber officiating.
