

Margaret Ann Capone of Roswell, Georgia died June 16, 2024 after a battle with dementia. Margaret was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland and she was 90 years old. Margaret was born to William and Annie Gallagher, she had a sister, Maureen, and a brother, Michael, and two infant sons - all of whom have predeceased her.
Margaret met her husband of 67 years, Louis R. Capone Jr., while he was in the Navy. Louis had a short stay in Londonderry when his Navy Submarine pulled into port in 1950. He met Margaret at a dance and corresponded with her for five years while serving. Louis later returned to a duty station in London, England and while there began to visit Margaret where he asked her to marry him. Margaret and Louis married in London in 1957 and began their life together.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband Louis Capone of Roswell, two sons - Bill Capone (Norma) of Cumming, GA and Bob Capone (Sara Wessling) of Roswell, two grandsons Adam Capone (Ivy) and Ryan Capone, great grandson Gavin Capone, and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved being a military wife and enjoyed all the travel that the Navy offered. Margaret and Louis lived in London England, Scotland, Guam, Connecticut, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia. Margaret loved music and could often be found singing and dancing along with Tom Jones and ABBA.
There will be a viewing at Roswell Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 from 6pm to 9pm and a Mass at St Ann’s Catholic Church on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 2pm. Her ashes will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
